Initial Wash
Nappies should be washed before use. Simply machine wash with a small amount of washing powder. This gets rid of any residue from the manufacturing. The hemp and microfibre inserts have been washed in water before being sewn. The hemp will increase absorbency over the next few washes.
Washing Instructions
• Empty waste into toilet for older babies. Younger babies’ waste can stay in the nappy.
• Remove insert/s.
• Fold back laundry tabs as shown in the pictures below.
• Store the used nappies and inserts in a nappy bucket until ready to wash. This is called ’dry pailing’. Do not soak nappies.
• If you wish, before washing, rinse dirty nappies.
• Place nappies on a rinse cycle and then wash them using 1/4 to 1/2 the recommended amount of washing powder/liquid.
• Line dry or tumble dry on warm. Because of the UV rays, the sun will remove any stains.
IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO USE ANY BLEACH OR FABRIC SOFTENERS.
